A gradient of nail colors....



Tried this out last night and fell in love with it. Definitely will try this out on other color families.

nail polish colors from index finger to pinky:

-Revlon nail polish in "minted"
-Essie nail polish in "turquoise and caicos"
-Sally hansen insta-dri nail polish in "mint sprint"
-the final one is a random china glaza one, I will update this post as soon as I find the name.

My most sought out hijab style......

Turkish hijab...
I love this style. I think it is so elegant and cut clean and crisp. It is so pretty and I love the look of it. If you feel like you have a round face and you want to slenderize it, then this is the definitely the style for you. It gives the illusion that your face is somewhat thinner and gives you dimension.


Now, there is this girl in my school who always wraps her hijab like this and I loooove it.

If you are looking to buy these, you can check out ebay and search square silk/satin scarves or check out this website which sells the most prettiest printed square scarves by Armine (a famous Turkish scarf designer and one of my favorite). Now if you are looking on how to wrap these styles, check out the website owner's YouTube channel, where she creates lovely Turkish inspired hijab styles...The lady that is wrapping the hijab is speaking Turkish, so it might be difficult but if you watch it carefully, you will get it.

The nude phenomenon....

and I do not mean nude as "nude" lol. I mean the color nude. Skin-colored clothing, accesories, nails, and even makeup. I am loving everything about this color.


For this outfit, i would wear the pleated top with the cardigan and then wear either pant option. If I wore the wide leg pants then I would wear the pumps and if I chose the other one, then I would wear the flats. Finish it of off with using the neautral colors from the chanel quad with thick black liner and a light coating of a peach lipstick and you are good to go.

NOTD...

This is currently the nail color that i am sporting. It is a lovely neon-ish pink. It looks a bit fuchsia in the pictures, but it really isn't. It is Bourgese nail Polish in paradiso pink. I absolutlely love it. And good news right now, in rite aid with your wellness card, it is only $5.00. Definitely expect to see a nail polish haul coming from me.

In and Out... 1st Edition

After reading many different blogs, this is definitely the type of blog entry that I love. So here goes my edition of my in and outs...


IN


Long-Wearing foundations- since Summer is rolling around, I definitely find the need to use a long wearing foundation. However, I do not like the way it can sometimes look cakey and not blend well. I definitely need to hit up Sephora or Mac and find one of these good babies.


Colored Eyeliner- I LOVE colored eyeliner, especially on my lower lash line. I love patting an champagne color on my lid with no liner and putting a bright colored pencil that is set with the same colored eyeshadow on my bottom lash line. Finishing it of with loads of mascara, and you are good to go. It is the ultimate summer look and I adore it.


PASTELS-and I mean everything pastels. lipstick, eye shadows, blushes, nail colors, shoes, hijabs, clothing accessories. I love everything pastel.


Stripes- "Plaid is out, Stripes are in" (as quotes by my nail-polish loving sister). Stripe printed shirts are definitely in.


Juliet Inspired Tops- I have really been into the " Shakespearean Juliet" tops. I love this romantic, ethereal trend that is going on.


OUT


The Heat- Ughhhh, I hate this warm weather. I mean yes, of course it means longer days, and going out more often but does it have to be humid. I feel like my makeup just crawls down my face. Hence, my quest for a long wearing foundation.


Amiraa Hijabs- I mean yes of course, I love the ease of these but I definitely feel like being more adventurous with my hijab.
